Chelsea are preparing for a major reset this summer after a frustrating campaign that has seen inconsistency on the pitch and upheaval in the dugout.
Two managerial changes and a number of underperforming signings — including Liam Delap and Alejandro Garnacho — have forced the club to reassess their direction.
Amid that overhaul, one player who was once viewed as a key part of the project now looks set to be moved on.
Chelsea Willing to Sell Mudryk
Mykhailo Mudryk appears increasingly likely to leave Chelsea, with his future at Stamford Bridge described as “all-but over.”
The winger — previously labelled “fantastic” by former boss Graham Potter — is currently serving a lengthy ban after testing positive for a prohibited substance. While an appeal is ongoing, the suspension is expected to keep him sidelined for a significant period, potentially until 2028.
Despite that, former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan believes Chelsea will look to cash in rather than cut ties completely.
He explained on TalkSPORT that the club would prefer to retain his registration value rather than terminate his contract outright, opening the door for a future sale.
Jordan suggested a deal in the region of £20–30 million could be feasible once the situation is resolved, adding: “And by the time that comes around, he’ll be almost out because he’d have served the time in the last 15-16 months.”
Mudryk, who joined Chelsea in a deal worth up to £88 million in 2023, has struggled to justify that price tag even before his suspension, registering modest returns across his appearances.
With the club now looking to rebuild and streamline the squad, moving him on — even at a reduced fee — is increasingly seen as the most likely outcome.
