Chelsea’s summer business has been nothing short of relentless — and it’s clear the rebuild under Enzo Maresca is in full swing.
Having already signed a host of promising young talents, the Blues are laying the foundation for a long-term project. So far, they’ve secured Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens, João Pedro, Dário Essugo, and Estevão Willian — all aged 24 or younger and brimming with potential.
And the early returns are already showing. Delap and Pedro both got on the scoresheet as Chelsea lifted the FIFA Club World Cup, with Pedro bagging a brace in the semi-final and scoring again in the final win over PSG.
Now, Chelsea may be closing in on another rising star — though this time, they face serious competition.
Chelsea Preparing Offer for Ardon Jashari

According to reputable journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Chelsea have launched a move for Ardon Jashari, with the club preparing a formal offer to Club Brugge for the Swiss midfielder.
The 23-year-old, who only joined Brugge from FC Luzern last year, has quickly become one of the most sought-after young midfielders in Europe. His performances have drawn strong interest not just from Chelsea, but also Bayer Leverkusen — who see him as a replacement for Granit Xhaka, now at Sunderland — and AC Milan.
And it seems Milan may have the edge — at least in terms of the player’s preference. Tavolieri quotes Jashari directly: “My sole, unique and definitive option is… AC Milan!”
That’s a potential blow for Chelsea, but as ever, their financial strength and ability to offer long-term contracts could still turn the tide.
What Jashari Would Bring to Chelsea
If Chelsea do manage to beat out the competition, they’ll be landing a player who was named Belgian Pro League Player of the Year — and also Belgian Young Player of the Year — for the 2024/25 season.
Jashari is an all-action midfielder known for his ability to dictate tempo, break up play, and drive his team forward. He scored four goals for Club Brugge last season — a respectable if unspectacular return — but his real value lies in his versatility: he can provide defensive cover, thread incisive passes through packed defences, or surge into the box himself.
His former coach at FC Luzern, Mario Frick, was full of praise: “Jashari is the greatest talent in Switzerland. He’s really good!”
That’s no small compliment — and if Chelsea can get this deal over the line, it could be yet another step in building a squad not just for now, but for the next decade.
