Chelsea are determined to continue nurturing their young talent under Liam Rosenior, who has given game time to several promising prospects since taking charge in January.
Players such as Jorrel Hato, Andrey Santos, Alejandro Garnacho, Malo Gusto, and Liam Delap have featured regularly, while Brazilian youngster Estevão has also been trusted on the pitch.
Romeo Lavia has been eased back from injury, and now the club has clarified its position on another emerging talent amid summer speculation.
Chelsea Reveal Acheampong Stance
Chelsea have no plans to sell Josh Acheampong, despite his limited involvement in recent weeks.
The 19-year-old England Under-21 international, described as “fantastic” by former Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca, attracted interest during both the summer and winter transfer windows.
However, the club remains firm that he is a key long-term asset and “non-transferable,” according to the Daily Express.
Bayern Munich and Crystal Palace reportedly enquired about the youngster, with Palace seeing him as a potential successor to Marc Guehi and Bayern viewing him as versatile cover for their defence.
Chelsea, however, are focused on Acheampong’s potential, recalling standout performances where he neutralised elite attackers and delivered decisive moments, such as a dominant outing against Liverpool and a crucial goal versus Nottingham Forest.
For the Blues, these flashes of brilliance outweigh his current lack of consistent playing time, and the club insists patience will better serve both Acheampong and Chelsea’s long-term plans rather than a short-term sale.
