Metro have Chelsea fans looking up with interest here in the Football Transfer Tavern after they claimed that the Blues could well be willing to allow Fernando Torres to join another club on a free.

As our regulars note, Torres hasn’t blown Rossoneri fans away while on loan at AC Milan this term.

It seems that even the struggling Italians are willing to send him back to Chelsea and do not want him to aid their attempt at getting back into Europe this season.

Considering Chelsea do not want to keep him at the club either, the Blues would be willing to get rid of him on a free transfer – just so they can get him off the books.

As our landlord notes, this is a new low point in the career of Torres since he moved from Liverpool and we cannot really see a future for him in the Premier League after this latest blow.
