The Porto midfielder has even cut short his holiday to enable him to seal the deal with the Premier League champions, and we think that is some seriously good business by Manuel Pellegrini.

City are looking to build on their current title winning form and not only do they want to stay top of the pile domestically, but they also have their eyes on getting a little bit further in the Champions League and have targeted players that they feel would be able to help them do so.

With Manchester United and Chelsea bringing players in and Arsenal looking like they will be linked with everyone and end up with no one, our landlord thinks that City need to declare some serious intention to buy and the capture of highly rated Fernando will do just that!
