‘Come home we know you want to’ - Arsenal fans call for former player to return

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are eager for their side to land a few more players this summer…

It has been a very mixed season so far for the Gunners, with a win on the opening day being contrasted with a loss against Stoke City on Saturday.

They’ve recruited well this summer, but the gulf in class between them and some of the Premier League’s better sides is clear for all to see, and so they could do with signing a couple more players this summer.

In the past, they’ve had some of Europe’s finest talents in their squad, with Cesc Fabregas being a prime example. Now playing for Chelsea, Fabregas hasn’t forgotten about his time at Arsenal – recently discussing a game that he played for the Gunners on Twitter.

Clearly, Fabregas is just looking back at a memorable game, but that hasn’t stopped the Arsenal fans on Twitter from speculating. In fact, the mere mention of his former club has got them very excited, and they’ve taken it upon themselves to attempt convince him to return back to the club.

A move, at this point, looks very unlikely – but that isn’t going to stop them from hoping for the best.
