Confirmed: Celtic seal key deal

Our Celtic fans here in the Transfer Tavern can’t wait for their clash against Rangers this weekend as they look to edge ever nearer the Scottish Premiership title.

The Bhoys have been flying this season and our landlord reckons they really could go the campaign unbeaten with them only drawing one game and winning the rest so far this year.

Rangers, of course, would like nothing more than to stop that but that is the best they can hope for right now as they trail the Hoops by some way at the moment.

For the Bhoys, then, planning for the future is going to be crucial to keep Rangers back and that is what they have apparently had in mind with the latest news surrounding Conor Hazard and his new contract.

Confirmed via the club’s official account, the young goalkeeper has signed a new deal to keep him at Celtic Park until 2019 – a time when he’ll be hoping to be pushing for the first-team.

Currently 19-years-old, Hazard has plenty of time to improve and that is what Celtic will be expecting of him now over the next couple of years.
