Reporter and Leeds United fan Conor McGilligan has described an update involving James Maddison as a ‘massive boost’ for the Whites.

Jesse Marsch takes his Leeds side to the King Power Stadium on Thursday looking for a first away win of the season. The Foxes will be without Maddison, though, after he picked up his fifth yellow card against Crystal Palace on Saturday, duly incurring a one-match suspension.
The attacking midfielder was shown a yellow card in stoppage time, with all five of his cautions coming in the final 10 minutes of games.

McGilligan took to Twitter on Saturday evening to share his thoughts on Maddison missing Thursday’s fixture.
He described it as a ‘massive boost’ for Leeds, with the 25-year-old set to be available for selection against Wolves on Sunday.

Maddison has been a shining light for Brendan Rodgers’ side in what has been a disappointing season for Leicester up to now, so knowing he will be missing in midweek can only be viewed as good news from a Leeds perspective.

He has contributed to seven goals in nine Premier League games, three of which came in an impressive 4-0 win over Nottingham Forest earlier this month.
Rodgers will have to rethink his game plan without Maddison, who has been a threat in recent weeks, especially when it comes to set pieces, so hopefully that will benefit the Whites as they seek a first win on the road since that monumental final-day triumph at Brentford in May.
