Crystal Palace announced on Thursday evening that right-back Joel Ward has been voted the club’s Player of the Month for October.

And, as to be expected, a number of Eagles supporters have been reacting to the news shared on Palace’s official Twitter page.

On-loan midfielder Conor Gallagher had picked up the accolade for August and September, however, Ward narrowly stopped him from making it three in a row.

The 32-year-old, who has played every Premier League minute under Patrick Vieira, helped Palace remain unbeaten in October with three draws and a brilliant win at Manchester City where he made 14 defensive actions.

Ward pipped Gallagher by just 2% of the votes, with the midfielder also starring at the Etihad with a goal and an assist.
