Chelsea have been busy in the transfer window so far, with both Christian Pulisic and Gonzalo Higuain joining the club, although only the latter is currently at Stamford Bridge.
Whether any more players sign between now and the end of the window remains to be seen, but it’s fair to say that there is a chance of a few departures.
unconfirmed and perhaps not a great surprise, but I'm hearing #Ampadu and #LoftusCheek are in the #cfc squad. #Zappacosta and #Cahill unlikely as they're still hoping for a move by Thursday. Official team news in half an hour or so.

Of course, it doesn’t make sense to play either of them if the club doesn’t see a future for them at Stamford Bridge, with there being no point risking an injury that could scupper an exit.
Whether they seal deals remains to be seen, but given that both players have had minimal action so far this term, it would make sense.
The Verdict
Gary Cahill has been a brilliant servant for Chelsea, but it’s obvious that Maurizio Sarri doesn’t rate him. Davide Zappacosta, meanwhile, has never really been able to make an impact at Stamford Bridge, and so losing him wouldn’t really be an issue for the club.
Neither has made a single Premier League start this season, and that speaks volumes about their current importance within the squad.
Of course, given how late we are into the window, the prospect of their departure does imply that Chelsea don’t intend on replacing him, and that could leave the club a little bit short as far as depth is concerned. Perhaps that could mean a few young players will get a chance.
Either way, for their own careers, it’s probably best that these men move on.
Thoughts?
