Our Rangers fans here in the Transfer Tavern really hope their season is going to finish strongly but the signs are there that things are going to fizzle out badly instead.
It’s been a fairly tumultuous season at Ibrox this year with problems involving Joey Barton and Mark Warburton both resulting in their respective departures.
Indeed, the latter still hasn’t been replaced – though Pedro Caixinha has been given permission to join as per Sky Sports – and whilst Graeme Murty has tried to steady the ship, they are still in indifferent form at the moment.
The club are also looking for a new director of football currently, too, but according to HITC that has taken a double hit with two of their potential recruits turning them down.
Both Southampton’s Ross Wilson and Huddersfield Town’s Stuart Webber are believed to have rejected the chance to move north of the border and so the Glasgow club will have to go back to the drawing board in this respect.
Indeed, this couldn’t have come at a much worse time with Celtic up next at the weekend with them looking to clinch the title within the next handful of games.
