Anticipation is building among the Liverpool supporters in the Transfer Tavern as reports regarding their move for Nabil Fekir begin to intensify throughout the media.
With the signings of Fabinho and Naby Keita already secured and Fekir reportedly on his way to Anfield, it’s shaping up to be an incredibly productive transfer window for the Reds. Fekir has been linked with a move to Liverpool for quite some time now and he is regarded as the natural successor to Philippe Coutinho due to his preference to operate in a number ten role.
However, Liverpool’s spending spree has not gone unnoticed by rival supporters who have taken note of their busy window so far.
One Arsenal fan in particular has taken to Twitter to suggest that the British media are turning a blind eye to Liverpool’s extravagant strategy in the transfer market due to their bias towards the club.
Unbelievable. Klopp now spent around £400m if not more. No trophies won. He’s lucky half the British media support Liverpool https://t.co/b8u3Pz73YO

In response to his tweet, the Liverpool fans have turned out in their numbers to ridicule the supporter and point towards their net spend as a justification for their club’s activity thus far.
Indeed, it’s fair to say that Liverpool’s sale of Coutinho has effectively financed the acquisitions of Fabinho, Keita and potentially Fekir, although they did spend £75 million on Virgil Van Dijk in January.
Considering Fekir’s immense level of quality, there could be a touch of envy influencing the thoughts of the Arsenal supporters who certainly wouldn’t be complaining about finances if their club were on the brink of completing a deal for Lyon’s captain.
And the Liverpool supporters appear to be sensing their rivals envy and rubbing their noses in it on Twitter.
Here’s what the Liverpool fans have had to say to the Arsenal fan following the latest Fekir reports…

Sell a player for €150m and basically get back buy Keita, Fekir & Fabinho in return. Good business if you ask me…
