Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have grown wary on the futures of a number of their star-players, who are seeing their contracts rapidly approaching their conclusion.
The likes of Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere could all leave this summer, as their deals enter the final 12 months, but Arsenal seem determined to ensure that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain doesn’t follow.
The England international is also rapidly approaching the final 12 months in his contract but Arsenal are ready to make moves to keep the former Southampton man at the Emirates Stadium, by putting him amongst the club’s highest earners.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has impressed this season, particularly when playing wing-back in the past two games, and his importance to the side has been made clear.
However, not everyone is convinced he’s deserving of a new deal.
