Doomed: 2 reasons why Romelu Lukaku will surely leave Everton this summer

The Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern are beginning to get seriously concerned that Romelu Lukaku could leave the club at the end of the season…

The Belgian has been on fire this season, and whilst Everton have recovered from an early season slump in recent weeks, it is clear that he is destined for bigger and better things.

Closing in on the pinnacle of the Premier League goalscoring chart, Lukaku has been on fire this season – and that is, undoubtedly, going to produce a few suitors as European sides look to improve their team.

Everton are a decent side, and they did well to bring the Belgian in a few years, but even the Toffees in the Transfer Tavern know that his time at Goodison Park is coming to an end.

With that said, here are 2 reasons why Romelu Lukaku will surely leave Everton this summer…

 Outgrowing Everton

Everton are a decent side, but a player of Romelu Lukaku’s quality needs to be playing for one of Europe’s best clubs.

The Toffees have done well lately, and they are definitely a side that are on the up – but at present, they are not ready to compete for European football.

Romelu Lukaku is a goalscorer, pure and simple. Whether he is playing for Everton or Barcelona, he is going to score goals – and that is the hallmark of a top player.

With 16 goals under his belt already, Lukaku could look to push for 25 this season – a hugely impressive number.

He is, quite easily, the best player within the Everton first team – and it is time for him to move on.

 In-Demand

Everton’s main problem will be the simple fact that Lukaku is going to be a man in demand this summer.

AC Milan are reportedly keen, whilst Chelsea are also reportedly planning a move to take the striker back to Stamford Bridge, and Everton could be powerless to resist.

If a club comes in around the £50 million mark – Everton simply will not be able to say no.
