It is a very exciting time to be a Man Utd fan. With a stellar season now behind them and a historic Europa League victory propelling the club back into the Champions League next season, many in the pub are already looking towards the summer months – and who they might see move to the club.
A host of players have been linked, but none have generated quite the response of the latest defender to be touted with a move to Old Trafford. According to Sky Sports, the Red Devils are keen on Raphael Varane, leading to a unanimous cheer in the pub.

Varane, of course, is one of Europe’s most impressive defenders, establishing himself as a key part of proceedings at Real Madrid in recent years. Strong on the ball, technical, and – importantly – just 24-years-old, many fans in the Transfer Tavern are dreaming of a duo between Varane and current Man Utd defender Eric Bailly.
Unsurprisingly, the Man Utd fans on Twitter have had a pretty similar response – with many absolutely delighted at the news…
