Rangers have enjoyed a good season back in the Scottish Premier League and currently sit third in the table after a solid campaign.
The Gers fans here in the Tavern are some of our favourite punters, and always make plenty of noise on a regular basis over by our dartboard and pool area.
This season has given Gers fans the chance to get a lot of their pride back, and despite seeing Celtic romp to the title, they have lots of things to be pleased about as the season draws to a close.
This weekend’s game sees Rangers come up against Partick Thistle, a team who took a point away from Celtic Park just a few weeks ago. With the threat Partick will likely pose to the Gers, manager Pedro Caixinha will have some big decisions to make on team selection.
With this in mind, we take a look at TWO Rangers players who should be axed from today’s starting XI…
Joe Garner

The former Preston striker was replaced last time out at Aberdeen and his replacement went on to bag a goal in an impressive 3-0 win at Aberdeen.
Caixinha might well opt to rest Garnder and give Dodoo a start against Partick, with the hope of him using the confidence gained from his last goal to bag yet again for the Gers.
Martyn Waghorn

Another player replaced last time out, striker Waghorn could well make way for someone like Andy Halliday in the first XI.
Kenny Miller would have been a candidate prior to the game with Aberdeen, but his two goals look like they have ensured his place in the team for the foreseeable future.
