The Everton supporting punters have been in fine voice in recent weeks with their club looking almost certain to claim a place in next season’s Europa League courtesy of a satisfying finish in the Barclays Premier League.

Ronald Koeman has worked wonders at the club in a short space of time since arriving at the club from Southampton during the summer, replacing the sacked Roberto Martinez.

The Toffees will look to end the season with a flourish to give themselves every chance of gaining some momentum to go into next season, with the club very much on the up under their Dutch boss.

Our landlord has overheard  a couple of the club’s supporters chatting about their team here in the Transfer Tavern and they are seemingly looking forward to today’s game with West Ham United.

An intrigued landlord looked at two Toffees men who could be dropped from today’s starting eleven.

The Everton goalkeeper has not had a great couple of weeks and although he has been part of winning sides he has been guilty of making some errors during certain games.

One Toffees supporter is sat tucking into one of the landlord’s famous breakfast butties and he thinks that the Spaniard is an accident waiting to happen when he keeps goal for the club.

The young prospect has been in great form since breaking into the first-team but you can’t help but feel that he will be handed a rest at some point before the end of the campaign.

Gareth Barry is waiting in the wings and he might be the sort of player to come into Saturday’s game and shore up the midfield to thwart any threat that West Ham might possess.

One Everton fan is chatting to the landlord and he agrees that Davies could perhaps do with a little rest, stating that placing him on the bench this weekend might not be such a bad idea.
