The Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern were relieved to see their side secure a place in the last eight of the Europa League, despite their win over FC Rostov coming in less than convincing fashion.
It wasn’t a typically energetic performance from the Red Devils and many of the supporters in the Tavern were getting worried that it might not be their night at one stage.
United did manage to scrape through thanks to Juan Mata’s second half goal and they will look to get into a more fluent stride this afternoon when they face a Middlesbrough side who are currently without a permanent manager.
Ahead of this afternoon’s game, several of the United faithful have gathered here in the Tavern to discuss tactics, and Lee Clarke looks at two players who should be axed by Jose Mourinho later on today.
Paul Pogba

The French midfielder limped out of Thursday’s Europa League game and whether he regains fitness or not, Mourinho should still look to bench his world record signing.
Several United fans here in the Tavern are gathered to watch the afternoon’s football and they are in agreement that the £89 million signing is looking jaded and could do with a rest.
Phil Jones

The versatile United performer hasn’t done a bad job of late but his defending is still relatively questionable at very best and Mourinho will surely look at other options in the coming weeks.
One Untied fan is munching on a all-day breakfast here in the Tavern and he agrees that Jones is not the greatest player United fans will ever see, stating that he is doubtful that Jones will still be at the club next season.
