In what was a thrilling tie, young forward Kylian Mbappe announced himself to the world with a stunning performance against Pep Guardiola’s men, though he’s been doing that all season in all honesty. Having been linked with moves to the Premier League of late, the 18-year-old’s two goals in two games against City has seen become the talk of the Tavern today.
The loudest praise for the teenager in the bar has come from the United supporting locals, who desperately hope they will see him arrive at Old Trafford in the summer. After signing Antony Marital from the Ligue 1 side to much success in 2015, they’re hoping to see another move of that ilk come to fruition over the course of the summer.
