Eden Hazard has been speaking about his future and Chelsea fans love what they are hearing

Chelsea fans are already piling into the Transfer Tavern ahead of their side’s clash with Barcelona this evening. A rivalry built on modern-day success, the Spanish side have faced off against the Blues numerous times over the last decade or so, and games have often been unpredictable.

Almost always, Barcelona have gone into the games as favourites, but Chelsea fans have often been able to go home smiling.

Whether that’s the case tonight remains to be seen, but one thing has certainly got our resident Blues feeling pretty perky. Eden Hazard was selected to take part in the pre-match press conference for the clash between the two European titans, and one thing that he said has really got fans talking.

The Belgian has been speaking about his Chelsea future, and he has revealed that whilst he doesn’t know what the long-term future holds, he is ‘happy’ at Chelsea for the time being.

Hazard: 'I have played for Chelsea for six years now and I am happy here, my family is happy here. I am just thinking about the game tomorrow and the rest of this season.' #CHEBAR

It’s just what fans will want to be hearing ahead of the game. Hazard’s future, almost since the moment that he moved to London, has been a big topic of debate, with the prospect of a move to Real Madrid or, indeed, Barcelona often on the minds of Chelsea fans. However, at least for the time being, the chances of that happening look to be pretty low.

Unsurprisingly, this has generated a lot of chatter over on Twitter, and it’s fair to say that fans are feeling pretty happy. Indeed, they are desperate for him to sign a new deal and stay long-term.

Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…
