Ever since his winner against Tottenham Hotspur on the weekend, the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been chanting the name of Victor Moses pretty much non-stop.
The Blues propping up the bar have been impressed by the Nigerian ever since Antonio Conte switched over his tactics at Stamford Bridge, emerging as one of the most sensational subplots of the Italian’s rebuild in west London.
Farmed out on loan all over the Premier League prior to Conte’s arrival, the former Wigan Athletic man has finally been handed a chance by the ex-Italy coach and sure is seizing it.
So much so, in fact, that the 25-year-old had been linked with a move to Barcelona.
However, the drinkers in the bar have been handed some good news again following reports from Sky Sports.
They claim top brass are eager to issue him with a new deal following his performances in an attempt to ward off any interest in the Super Eagles international.
Technical director Michael Emenalo is believed to have been hugely impressed with him recently and is eager to fight any interest he may attract.
Currently under contract until 2019, Moses could be in line for another bumper deal.
