Arsenal will be looking to bring some consistency to their side as their top four bid continues to hang in the balance.
Unai Emery has been dealt a troubling start to life as Gunners boss, with the number of injuries and lack of money accumulating to mean it’s a hard task for his side to secure Champions League football.
Though not impossible, Arsenal will keep working in order to reach their goal but that’s taken a significant blow in recent weeks, with Aaron Ramsey agreeing to leave the club this summer.
It’s an agreement that could unsettle the players but also pose the biggest question of who could replace him…
Arsenal though, might just have their ready-made replacement and that’s young Emile Smith-Rowe.
Smith-Rowe has already looked to be a superb talent for Arsenal and like many other English youngsters, the 18-year-old has gone to the Bundesliga – specifically RB Leipzig – in search of regular game-time.
That is certainly useful for all involved and if the move does work out well, Arsenal should have no qualms about using him with the first-team next season.
He is arguably one of the biggest, if not the best young talent Arsenal have in their ranks right now and it makes sense to give him a go with Aaron Ramsey leaving in the summer.
Unai Emery has visions of the Englishman being an important first-team member within a few seasons, undoubtedly because of the great impression he made in games this season.
Before moving to Germany, Smith-Rowe bagged six goals in 11 appearances, with three of those goals coming for the first-team.
Arsenal don’t necessarily have the money to go out and buy a superstar replacement for Aaron Ramsey so Emile Smith-Rowe should be given the chance to step up.
