Our Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern were certainly the happier set of supporters last night after the Manchester Derby had come to a close.
Indeed, the City fans felt that they really should have won the game and so, with the Red Devils coming out with a draw, it was United who had the more upbeat set of fans.
What the game really showed, though, was that both sides are going to need investment if they are going to challenge for the title before too long and it certainly seems likely that United will throw the cash around.
Who they bring in, though, remains to be seen but it appears young Bundesliga star Jordan Torunarigha would like a move to Old Trafford before too long.
The Hertha Berlin man looks like he could be a talent to watch and when asked in an interview with Bild where he would like his career to end up, he was pretty certain in his response.
He said:
“Manchester United, it has always been my dream to play at Old Trafford.”
Certainly, then, if Jose Mourinho decides to go for him he should be able to get him in pretty easily.
