The Chilean forward has been in the news a lot this season, and whilst it has often been for his fine performances on the field – news over the last few weeks has quickly divulged into off-the-field matters, more specifically – his Arsenal future.
Sanchez’s Arsenal contract runs until the end of next season, leaving only a year for the Gunners to tie him down to an extended deal before the Bosman ruling comes into force – meaning that he could potentially leave on a free.
However, with there reportedly being very little progress with regards to a new deal for the Chilean, his future remains uncertain – and that has seemingly attracted the attention of French side PSG.
According to French outlet Maxifoot, PSG are reportedly eyeing a €70 million move for Sanchez next summer – with Arsenal likely to consider the offer should the Chilean not renew his deal before then.
Whilst €70 million, which roughly translates to around £60 million, is certainly a huge fee – the notion that Sanchez could leave the club is certainly not a popular one amongst the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern. A fan favourite amongst the Gunners, Sanchez’s form this season has been vital for Arsene Wenger as he looks to challenge for the Premier League title – and without his goals, the Gunners fear they could struggle this season.
