Some Everton fans have been slamming Andre Gomes after his rather poor display versus Newcastle United in the Premier League on Sunday.
Indeed, the performance was not one of the Portugal international’s best as the Goodison Park faithful slumped to a 2-1 defeat away from home at St. James’ Park.

He gave away a penalty that saw Callum Wilson score the opening goal from the spot before he added another in the second half, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s injury-time goal not enough for Carlo Ancelotti’s team to get anything from the match.

The 27-year old was rated the worst player on the pitch (5.9) by Sofascore, and failed win a single duel or record a tackle, shot on target, successful dribble, clearance or interception.

These EFC supporters slammed his display on Twitter, with one Toffee even labelling the central midfield player’s performance as ‘dreadful’:
