Arkadiusz Milik may leave SSC Napoli in the January transfer window, according to Calcio Mercato, which could alert Everton.
Indeed, the Poland international was linked with a move to Goodison Park in the summer transfer window, and could be on his way to the Toffees in January if the price is right.
Does Milik start for Everton?
A meeting is currently in progress between Aurelio De Laurentiis and the agents of Milik over the possible sale of the 26-year old at the turn of the New Year, a time where the Blues could potentially swoop in for his signature.
Milik offers a goal threat
Indeed, Milik would offer Carlo Ancelotti’s team another goal threat up front, which could prove to be useful if the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison are misfiring.
The striker scored no fewer than 14 goals in 35 games in all competitions for the Naples side in the 2019/20 term, and has also scored 15 times for his country at senior international level (Transfermarkt).
Ancelotti called Milik ‘sensational’
Ancelotti branded Milik as ‘sensational’ after he scored a free kick during his time as manager of Napoli, and appeared be interested in reuniting with his former star this summer.
The forward scored a total of 28 strikes and provided a further four assists in 56 matches over all competitions across two consecutive seasons under the 61-year old (Transfermarkt), suggesting that Milik works well under him.
Currently valued at £24.3 million, the Pole may be a good option for the Merseyside club to go for, providing that both parties can agree on a sensible transfer fee.
