Everton: Carlo Ancelotti ‘faltering’ verdict despite rise in form has supporters fuming

Responding to a top four piece from the Daily Mirror, many Everton supporters have slammed the now-edited verdict that Carlo Ancelotti’s side are ‘faltering‘ – despite the Toffees rising to just three points off a top six place since the Italian’s appointment.

Ancelotti, who took charge in late December as a replacement for the previously sacked Marco Silva, has since gone on to guide Everton to ninth in the Premier League table – winning four out of their last seven games in the league whilst only losing to Man City in the division in that time. This form, you could argue, warrants praise for the new boss after seemingly helping to turn things around at Goodison Park.

Despite removing the ‘faltering‘ verdict in a potential effort to correct the error, supporters have accused this piece of previously hinting that Everton are still struggling for form, with one calling the observation ‘remarkable‘. You can find some of their best comments from Twitter below.
