According to statistics courtesy of Twitter account ‘Between the Lines‘, Everton have accumulated the second-most amount of points in the Premier League since Marco Silva’s sacking with 19 from their last ten games – prompting many supporters to hail new boss Carlo Ancelotti on social media.
Ancelotti, who replaced the fired Silva in late December following a brief stint with Duncan Ferguson in temporary charge, has since gone on to guide Everton to ninth in the Premier League table and just three points off a top-six place. Now, as per these stats, it’s been revealed that in this time Everton have picked up the second-most points behind arch-rivals Liverpool in the league – with supporters jumping for joy over the stats and slamming doubtful pundits.
This includes Sky Sports man Charlie Nicholas, who hinted back in January during his Premier League predictions via FootballFanCast that linked former boss David Moyes should’ve been the favourite for the job.
As a result, lots of Toffees supporters are heralding the fact they went with Ancelotti instead – find all of their best comments from social media down below.
Yeah but we should’ve hired Moyes according to parts of the media and champagne Charlie Nicholas 😐
