The Daily Telegraph have our punters looking excited here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they seem to think that Everton are keen on securing the long term future of Aaron Lennon.
The winger has been on loan from Tottenham Hotspur since January and after impressing Roberto Martinez with his attitude and performances on the field, the Spaniard is keen to look into the possibility of buying him in the summer.
That is something Spurs are more than keen to allow to happen and have told the Toffees that Lennon will cost £6 million – and as one of our punters notes over a pie and pint at the bar, that could actually turn out to be a really good bit of business for Everton should they manage to push a deal through!
