The Brazilian was brought to Goodison Park in 2018 on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk, penning a four-year deal with the Blues (via Sky Sports). However, since he joined the ranks, he’s had a pretty average couple of seasons. During his two terms with the club, Bernard has tallied five goals and six assists across all competitions, with a recent contribution drought hitting him hard (via Transfermarkt).

Before his opener against Crystal Palace in February, the 27-year-old’s last goal was back in October. However, his versatility to play on either wing and also in midfield (also Transfermarkt) has got fans fighting his corner.
Many Blues are in debate over whether the club is best keeping Bernard as an attacking option or getting some profit for him in the summer. One fan has said the ‘money could be used better’ whilst others are adamant he stays a Blue.

We could sell for 20-30m raise some capital and buy someone younger with a better output. Only shows brilliance in flashes and mostly at home.
