A video of Duncan Ferguson scoring a half-volley in Everton’s latest training session is doing the rounds on Twitter and the Toffees fans are loving it.
Everton have posted a video of some clips from the team’s training session ahead of the game against Chelsea in the Premier League. At the end of the video is 48-year-old Ferguson firing half-volleys at the goalkeeper to test his reflexes. Big Dunc rolled back the years as he hit two sweet strikes with his left foot.
Supporters are loving the footage of their assistant manager, claiming he’s ‘still got it’.
The Scot is a fan favourite across the club after spending a total of ten years with the Toffees as a player, racking up 253 appearances and scoring 65 goals (Transfermarkt). He retired at Everton and played a testimonial match in his honour in 2015. He also recently filled in as interim manager after Marco Silva was sacked before becoming the assistant to Carlo Ancelotti.
Blues fans are joking over the training video of Big Dunc, wondering whether Ancelotti will bring him on as a substitute in their next game.
