Some Everton fans have been reacting to the recent performance of Jarrod Bowen and concluded that he is the sort of player that their side could do with during the January transfer window.
The 23-year-old played the full 90 minutes during his team’s 2-1 defeat at home to Chelsea on Saturday, with the Tigers crashing out of the FA Cup in the fourth round. Reports suggest that Bowen could be on the verge of leaving Humberside if he does not accept a new deal with the club, with Leeds United one of the sides interested in his services, as per David Anderson of the Mirror.
Newcastle United are also interested but Toffees fans were impressed with his performance during Hull’s FA Cup exit. He managed to have six shots at goal, won four duels and made seven ball recoveries, as per Fotmob. Bowen has been compared to Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic, some even likened him to Arjen Robben and he is highly regarded at the KCOM Stadium.
Supporters recognised his ability and potential and suggested that he could be a “massive improvement” on Theo Walcott, who has a dismal average match rating of 6.39 on WhoScored.
