Everton fans have heaped praise on club legend Duncan Ferguson after it was revealed that he is in line for a new contract at Goodison Park, according to The Times.
The newly-appointed Carlo Ancelotti’s assistant manager made a significant impact with positive effect after he stepped into the hot seat following Marco Silva’s dismissal.
Club owner Farhad Moshiri and chairman Bill Kenwright both recognised the work that the Scotsman did during his brief stint as manager and The Times revealed that they are prepared to reward him for his commitment and loyalty to the football club.
Ferguson was undefeated in his three games in charge, beating Chelsea in his opening game at Goodison Park 3-1 and taking a point at Old Trafford with a 1-1 draw.
