Some Everton fans have not been excited about the possibility of their club signing Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino.
According to Italian publication Tutto Mercato, the Toffees have had an £11.8m (€14m) bid rejected by I Nerazzurri, with the Serie A expecting a fee in the region of £21.1m (€25m). Despite this, the report suggests that they would accept a bid of around £16.9m (€20m).
Indeed, Vecino has scored just once in 14 appearances for Inter this season and has made 88 outings in total for Antonio Conte’s side, as per TransferMarkt. He is typically a central midfielder that can play both in the hold and the No. 10 role if required when looking at his positional date on the same website. However, as per WhoScored, both Morgan Schneiderlin and Jean-Philippe Gbamin average more tackles per game than he has in Serie A this season, while Gylfi Sigurdsson and Bernard have averaged more key passes per game.
Supporters were not impressed with the rumours and made their feelings clear on social media.

Tuttomercato = lol move along. There’s no space for Vecino at Everton either.

I’ve heard we are in for Timmy Mallet as an offensive mid fielder. Possible Sigurdson replacement.
