Many Everton fans have been lauding the news that the Merseyside club have submitted an amended planning application to Liverpool City Council for their proposed new 52,888-capacity stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock.
According to the Toffees’ official website, the amendment to the application comes after the Blues revealed the design changes to Everton supporters last month and addresses feedback to the original planning application submitted in December of last year.

As per the website, the club’s plans for the ground, which will sit within Peel L&P’s £5bn regeneration project Liverpool Waters and forms part of the city’s newly-launched North Shore vision, would have a big impact on north Liverpool.
A new ground and a legacy project at Goodison Park will act as a catalyst for the regeneration of the city’s semi-derelict northern docklands, contributing a £1bn boost to the region’s economy, creating up to 15,000 jobs and attracting 1.5 million visitors to the city every year.
