After footage emerged online from the club’s official website of Toffees defender Yerry Mina hilariously screaming ‘Come on Everton’, supporters have flocked to praise the Colombian for his antics online – taking to Twitter in full support for the centre-back.
Mina, who has amassed an impressive 83.5% pass accuracy playing out from the back this season alongside fellow rotating centre-halves Michael Keane and Mason Holgate, filmed himself chanting in support of the club much to the delight of fans – with one of them even claiming that he should be the Toffees captain.
Compared to Keane and Holgate, Mina has averaged more tackles than the former Englishman (1.5) and reigns superior over both men in terms of clearances – making four per game on average as per WhoScored.com. He has also featured the most times out of any other centre-back over 2019/2020, which potentially highlights the defender as a shining light in an otherwise leaky team – with Carlo Ancelotti’s side shipping 33 league goals so far this campaign.
However, regardless of his debated ability, fans flocked to praise the Colombia international after he displayed his enthusiasm for the club through hilarious video footage – find all of their best comments down below.
