Yerry Mina is the latest Everton player to sustain an injury and will miss the resumption of the Premier League.
The defender joins the likes of Morgan Schneiderlin and Jean-Philippe Gbamin on the injury list after suffering a torn thigh muscle in training last week.
As a result, Mina will miss the return to top flight action and won’t be available for selection against Liverpool. It is likely that Carlo Ancelotti will have to rely on Michael Keane to partner Mason Holgate at centre-back in the Merseyside derby.

Many Everton fans have responded to the injury news and they aren’t happy to see another player sidelined. One supporter has tweeted ‘This would never happen to Van Dijk’, who has gone through his Liverpool career so far without any sort of major injury.
Typical Everton luck continues. This would never happen to Van Dijk for example

Another supporter has commented that Everton should ‘bring Johnny Heitinga out of retirement’. The Dutch defender made a total of 140 appearances for the Blues after signing in 2009.

obviously some mad conspiracy theories knocking about. But I really do think our medical dept. and the players Conditioning needs a major overhaul. can’t all be coincidence & bad luck. the rs never seem to get bad injuries. Wheras we’ve been hammered the last couple of years.
