Plenty of Everton fans have been fuming on Twitter as Mike Dean has been appointed the referee for the Merseyside derby clash against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool on Sunday.

The Reds can possibly win the Premier League title against their bitter rivals at Goodison Park if Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal can beat Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City judging by how the table currently stands at the moment, which would be an extra kick in the teeth for Carlo Ancelotti’s men should they lose that game.
To potentially add to their woes, the top flight ref has only refereed in one other match involving the Toffees in the 2019/20 season, which was the reverse fixture at Anfield in which Liverpool thrashed the Blues 5-2, according to Transfermarkt.
In four other games in England’s highest division where EFC have played, they have not won any of them when Dean has been the referee, as per the website.
