Lots of Everton fans have been hailing an update from Paul Joyce as The Times journalist claimed that the Merseyside club have put forward an offer of around £14 million for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg on his Twitter page.
Indeed, this followed the games in the Premier League in which both Southampton and the Toffees were involved in, as they both drew 1-1 at home to Brighton and Hove Albion and Aston Villa respectively.

Hojbjerg interestingly played at right-back for the Saints against the Seagulls but predominantly plays in the centre of midfield.
Comparing the stats of the 24-year old to the likes of Fabian Delph, Tom Davies and Andre Gomes so far in the 2019/20 season in the top flight, Hojbjerg has averaged more tackles, interceptions, clearances, shots and key passes per match, according to Whoscored.

His superior abilities demonstrated both defensively and also in an attacking sense may make the Danish international an upgrade in the middle of the park for Carlo Ancelotti’s side, and so he may be worth the fee quoted by Joyce.
These members of the Goodison Park faithful hailed his update:

@MMc1878 now this will hopefully be a great signing if we can agree a fee. One year left on his deal so can’t see us going over top on the fee

Would be a great signing for that price he’s young and would walk into our XI
