Lots of Everton fans have been hailing a transfer revelation from Marcel Brands, which was relayed on Twitter by Paul Joyce.
As per a tweet from The Times journalist, Brands confirmed that James Rodriguez was signed for no fee in the summer window in what now looks to be a “superb bit of business,” as one supporter below put it.
Originally, the deal was reported to be worth £20m and later narrowed down to £12m (BBC), but it appears even that was wide of the mark.

Being such a big name having played for the likes of Bayern Munich as well as Los Blancos, in addition to his reputation at international level for Colombia, to get him on a free has been a very good bit of business by the Merseyside club.
The 29 year-old has scored three goals and made a further five assists in 14 games in all competitions so far in the 2020/21 term for the Toffees (Transfermarkt), showing the instant impact that he has had on his new team.
