Saturday’s 0-0 draw against Arsenal was Duncan Ferguson’s last match in charge as Everton caretaker manager, and fans were quick to show their appreciation for all their legend has done.
Ferguson, who has now handed over the reins to Carlo Ancelotti, was put in temporary charge following Marco Silva’s dismissal and steered the Toffees to some very good results.
Under their ex-player, Everton managed to beat Chelsea and hold Manchester United and Arsenal to draws.
Ferguson and his men also took second-placed Leicester City to penalties in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals after being 2-0 down, epitomising the sort of fight the 47-year-old has restored to the Merseyside outfit.
Despite Ancelotti’s arrival, Ferguson will not be going anywhere, with the former Everton striker staying on as a member of the Italian’s backroom team.
Albeit a short stint, in the end, Ferguson was able to do a good job and fans made sure to highlight that after the Arsenal game.
Take a look at what they had to say below…
