Everton: Fans laud Phil Kirkbride update on Bramley-Moore Dock

Plenty of Everton fans have been lauding an update from Phil Kirkbride as he reported for the Liverpool Echo that the planning approval for the new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock is expected to go through in October.

As per the journalist, the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority have released their Economic Recovery Plan following the global pandemic outbreak with the proposed new ground for the Toffees a key part of their vision.

The stadium is expected to have a capacity of 52,888 as the Liverpool City Region, led by Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram, has told the central government that it will help give significant investment and regeneration to Liverpool.

It has been estimated that the new stadium would give a £1 billion boost to the local economy, create 15,000 jobs, help attract 1.4 million visitors, with the chief executive officer of the Blues Denise Barrett-Baxendale listed as a key stakeholder.
