Loads of Everton fans have been lauding a transfer update from Phil Kirkbride on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as he reported for the Liverpool Echo that the Southampton man has made it clear that he would prefer a move to Tottenham Hotspur over the Merseyside club in the upcoming summer transfer window.
As per the journalist, the Toffees have apparently not yet lodged a bid for the central midfield player, despite Carlo Ancelotti being an admirer of his.

Hojbjerg has played in 38 games in all competitions for the Saints so far in the 2019/20 season, but has yet to find the back of the net and has only managed one assist, according to Transfermarkt.
For a man that plays in the middle of the park, this is arguably a very poor return, so perhaps the Blues would be right not to place a bid in for the 24-year old.

These members of the Goodison Park faithful lauded the update on Twitter, as based off of his stats and the fact that he supposedly has his heart set on a move to Spurs, perhaps the Danish international would not be a welcome signing at EFC:

Good riddance to him. The only players we want are the one’s that will understand what playing for Everton entails. No more journeymen. Players that buy into Carlo’s ambition for the club and committed to the Ethos. NSNO. No silly wages. No silly contracts. Die for the shirt.

Can’t say I’m disappointed by this. I think we can do better than him and I’ve thought this for a long time.
