Plenty of Everton fans have been lauding the possible exit of Gylfi Sigurdsson as The Athletic have reported that DC United from the MLS have held talks with the player over an eventual move to the United States of America.
Sigurdsson comes off the back of a relatively disappointing 2019/20 term, where he managed to score just three goals and make a mere three assists in 38 games in all competitions, according to Transfermarkt.

Considering that the Icelandic international is 30 years of age now as well, perhaps this is the best time for Carlo Ancelotti to cash in on him and use the money to fund other potential deals in the summer transfer window.
His market value is currently estimated at £16.2 million by Transfermarkt, which may well be a decent sum to cash in on.

These members of the Goodison Park faithful lauded the news on Twitter, as they perhaps feel that Sigurdsson does not have a place in the squad anymore:

Good bit of business if he goes there should get an overinflated price on him as well 👋 #sub1mill #deadwood
