Everton supporters have been very downbeat and angry in the Transfer Tavern this week after seeing their side’s horrendous away run in the Premier League continue after going down 1-0 to Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday.
Sam Allardyce’s men went into their clash in Hertfordshire having managed just one win from their 13 away league matches this term, in which they have picked up a mere eight points. And the Toffees were unable to record a second success on the road on Saturday as Troy Deeney’s effort 11 minutes from time was enough to seal all three points for the Hornets, a result which moved Javi Gracia’s side to within a point of ninth-placed Everton in the Premier League table.
As such, there have been many disappointed and frustrated Evertonians in the Tavern in recent times, several of whom are already turning their attentions to this weekend’s trip to Burnley, where they will again hope to finally record a second away win of the campaign.
In the meantime though, there has been much for our resident Toffees fans to get their teeth into, not least recent reports suggesting that January signing Cenk Tosun could be set for a return to Besiktas in the summer.
The 26-year-old made the move to Goodison Park during the winter window as the Merseysiders sought much-needed attacking reinforcements, yet the Turkey international has been unable to make a meaningful impact having failed to net in four Premier League appearances for the club.
And reports suggest that the striker could be in line for a return to Besiktas, whom he left in January, in the summer transfer window, in news which has stimulated quite a response from Evertonians on Twitter.
And it’s fair to say that they are not at all happy with Allardyce’s treatment of the forward since his arrival, and indeed the club in general for sanctioning such deal in January…
How is he a flop? Sam the Fraud won’t give him enough game time to prove himself! Send Sam to outer Siberia!

Another embarrassment to add to the list this season! What has happened to our club?

When are we going to start scouting players properly and checking their suitability to the English game, climate etc. It is embarrassing from top to bottom. Walsh and Allardyce need to go in the summer and Moshiri needs to make sensible decisions on who to replace them with

Hopefully, this is not true. It is embarrassing how the club is treating these new signing. No one will want to sign with us after all this.

Jesus wept.. Right! That’s it! Can we just pack up Everton FC and cease to exist anymore? It’s probably for the best.

If Tosun is going back to Besiktas then it’s because Allardyce is still Everton manager next season.
And we might as well give up on the club now. #EFC #NSNO https://t.co/b1hYtwVXCM— Royal Blue Mersey (@RBMersey) February 28, 2018
He’s had about 90 minutes of football and we’re going to try for a refund? But Allardyce has had about 15 games and we knew he’d be crap before he started. Makes no sense. I hope we give Lookman, Tosun and Vlasic a proper chance soon #COYB
