Everton fans were far from pleased with former goalkeeper Neville Southall’s suggestion for a potential replacement for under-fire manager Marco Silva.
The 61-year-old took to Twitter to suggest that Duncan Ferguson should get the job should the Portuguese manager leave the club as he ‘knows the fans’ (via Twitter).
Silva’s tenure as Everton manager is under the spotlight after a less than pleasing start to the Premier League season. The Blues have won just two of their Premier League games so far, finding themselves in 14th place in the table (via BBC).
The Scotsman signed for the Goodison Park side back in 1994 on an initial season-long loan deal from Rangers. The move was then made permanent with the Merseysiders paying the Scottish side £4m (via Toffeeweb).
It seems fans are against the idea of appointing their former striker as their new manager should Silva face the axe, as they took to Twitter to react.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion n I respect this is yours big man but I hugely disagree. What does he actually do in training? I don’t see players improving under him. The club needs rid of the likes of Duncan from the managerial n coaching staff they aren’t good enough
