Loads of Everton supporters have been sharing their assessments of the Premier League campaign so far on social media, with certain views making for bleak reading for Marco Silva.
The Goodison Park faithful have been voicing their opinions on the start of the term after Silva’s Blues recorded their second defeat in five games, as AFC Bournemouth were able to pick apart defensive issues to retain the spoils at the Vitality Stadium.
Everton had already dropped points on the road to Aston Villa earlier in the season, in a result that followed a goalless draw at Crystal Palace and a narrow win at home to Watford, while proceeding a topsy-turvy display against Wolves in a match the Toffees won in the 80th minute.
What has frustrated many of the Everton supporters sharing their early verdicts is that their side have struggled – and failed – to take the points in games they should arguably have had a reasonable expectation of winning.
The situation the Goodison Park natives currently find themselves in is also an awkward reflection of their Premier League standing after five games last season, when Silva’s first month in charge returned one win and three draws along with a negative goal difference.
Everton also started the 2017/18 campaign slowly with Ronald Koeman overseeing one win and one draw in the first five games, before he would go on to be sacked in October (BBC) having only taken a further one win and one draw.
A similar run of results over the next five weeks could see the pressure on Silva become all-encompassing and lead to a similar fate as Koeman, with Everton set to face 15th place Sheffield United at the weekend, before Manchester City, Burnley and West Ham United.
Some Everton supporters are already calling for Silva to be sacked, while others are just clearly frustrated with how the league campaign has begun.

Poor because they should of taken advantage of Villa and Bournemouth. But, poor decisions such as player selection have caused this. Most notably playing DCL who is not a premier league player, I don’t care what anyone says.

A poor points return and very little sign of promise in the performances. The team is apologetic in almost everything it does, they appear to almost feel embarrassed to try and take the game to the opposition. Team of cowards.

Nothing has changed results wise (strong at home, woeful away) but the new signings look promising. At the rate we’re going right now we’ll miss a golden opportunity to nudge in front of poor United/Chelsea sides and into the top 6 but there’s a long way to go yet
