While Everton were able to snatch a point right at the death in their 2-2 Premier League draw with Watford at Goodison Park last night, it is still a result that would have left manager Marco Silva extremely frustrated.
The Toffees were unable to build on Richarlison’s opener with a Seamus Coleman own goal and Abdoulaye Doucoure header inspiring a Watford turnaround that almost saw Javi Gracia’s men walk away with all three points, only for a fantastic Lucas Digne free-kick to deny them of that and save Silva’s blushes.
All in all, it was not a convincing performance from the home side with Coleman particularly struggling on the night.
The 30-year-old failed to cope with the threat of Watford’s danger man Roberto Pereyra who was constantly finding spaces in behind him.
In this moment of time, it is probably fair to say the Everton defender is not in the best of form, though he certainly has the ability to improve as the season progresses.
Have a look at what Everton supporters are saying on Coleman’s recent display below…

Need a new Right Back and a Striker. Dont let Coleman become the new Hibbert.

Kevin Friend with one of the worst refereeing performances I’ve ever seen at Goodison. Seamus Coleman is finished, Theo Walcott is absolutely dreadful full stop. Too many poor performances tonight to get the win #EFC

Lucky to get a point there. Fundamentals are sound but need a proper striker and a right back to rotate with, then eventually replace, Coleman (Wan-Bissaka would be a good choice). Still, good foundations to build on. #EFC
