Everton were able to hold Maurizio Sarri’s in-form Chelsea side to a 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge on Sunday in what was a very good team display from Marco Silva’s men.
The likes of Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane and Andre Gomes, to name a few, all played well as the Toffees managed to reduce Chelsea to only a couple of real chances in front of goal while remaining a threat on the counter-attack.
But as well as the trio, central defender Yerry Mina also impressed in his first Premier League start for the club.
The Colombian has missed the majority of Everton’s games so far this season having arrived from Barcelona with a foot injury but, if Sunday’s performance was anything to go by, it was well worth the wait.
£27m-rated (via Transfermarkt) Mina will now be expected to form a solid central defensive partnership with either Keane or Kurt Zouma, who was ineligible to play against his parent club over the weekend.
Have a look at what Everton supporters are saying on Mina’s recent display below…
Fully deserved, knew he had something special when England played Columbia in the World Cup, he’s solid

Gomes, Digne and Mina are really blossoming at Everton. It shows how playing for Barca was holding them back.
