Everton have gone three games without a win following their recent 3-1 Premier League loss to Manchester City at the Etihad.
A brace from Gabriel Jesus and header from Raheem Sterling gave Pep Guardiola’s men all three points on the day in a fixture where their opponents were particularly poor in front of goal.
Bar Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who scored Everton’s only goal of the game, the Merseyside club were extremely wasteful with Richarlison failing to test Ederson despite some very promising opportunities having been presented to him.
As well as that, at the back, the Toffees were also far from convincing with Marco Silva’s insistence on his team playing out from the defence not doing his players any favours during the match.
Ultimately, going forward, and especially in matches versus opposition such as Manchester City, Everton simply have to do more if they are to start walking away from these sort of fixtures with anything.

#Weneedastriker…..if we did it would be very different I think…

Efficiency the key word here, cant afford to gift teams like city goals and when we get chances like we had today we have to be more clinical, no excuses.

I think we should go for Werner from Leipzig. Get a finisher

Too much respect for them yesterday. Defending was really poor. Mina sloppy, Pickford beaten on front post, not stopping the crosses! We did the basics badly. We will also create chances with this manager but we need to start taking them. Too early to judge Silva. It takes time!

Missed Idrissa in the midfield. Should have stuck to 4,3,3. Back 3 were not sure of their space n area of responsibility. Gylfi was also played out of position n was ghosting around. Should have played Tom Davies from the start to protect the midfield. Need a new finisher.

Today’s game demonstrated one thing more than anything.
We need at least one quality striker.
As soon as possible.
Like yesterday.#EFC

We need to start scoring goals & we need to stop conceding them.
